Peace Within® is a women's residential mental health center engaged in a psychologically sound, holistic approach for promoting self-care, health and mental well-being.

The center operates to educate and treat adult women by employing a program of psychodynamic therapy. The program incorporates elements of psycho-education, yoga, bodywork, nutrition, journaling, and social re-integration. Comprised of a small community, a maximum of 18 clients, and a minimum of a 3:1 staff to client ratio, we will be able to provide the personalized attention that each client deserves.

As part of a therapeutic community, women will experience different treatment modalities that encourage them to love, accept, and connect with themselves and others. Individuals are encouraged to develop and enhance their own coping mechanisms so that they are able to make healthy choices. The ultimate goal is to enable women to move beyond life's traumatizing events to an awareness and reinforcement of their own needs, preferences, and power. By providing women with lifelong tools of insight and self-care we can help them to create environments where they will thrive and flourish-environments where they are empowered to take charge of their own lives rather than beings victims of their circumstances.

The success of the center relies on designing and fostering a safe and trustworthy community of adult women dedicated to a journey of self-discovery, awareness, and personal healing leading to inner peace.

Peace Within® is a whole being therapeutic retreat for women rooted in psychodynamic tradition.

Peace Within® is an open therapeutic residential center for middleclass women who are single, married, divorced or widowed. Peace Within® will address fundamentally high functioning adult women in crisis. They may be adult women experiencing a developmental crisis, or may be suffering from depression, experiencing anxiety, emotional distress, a situational crisis, trauma or fatigue. They may be wrestling with life transitions or changing events, having relationship issues or suffering from grief and loss. Peace Within® main targets are clients in the mid to upper socio-economic strat throughout Southern California and across the nation.
